Deterministic ET cutoff + US business day rules.
A cutoff time is the latest time a bank generally accepts a transfer instruction for same-day processing. If you submit after the cutoff, processing typically shifts to the next business day.
All cutoffs are evaluated in Eastern Time (ET). Enter your time as ET. If you’re submitting from a different time zone, convert your local time to ET before entering it — the tool does not auto-detect or convert your device’s time zone.
Business days exclude weekends and US federal holidays (observed). When a fixed-date holiday falls on a weekend, the tool uses the observed date — the nearest weekday — rather than the calendar date. This matches how the Federal Reserve and ACH network handle holiday schedules in practice.
v1 includes 10 major U.S. banks: Chase, Bank of America, Wells Fargo, Citi, U.S. Bank, PNC, Capital One, TD Bank (US), Truist, and Ally. These cover the most commonly used consumer and small-business online banking platforms. Additional banks may be added in future versions.
No. The cutoff times in this tool are generalized estimates for online consumer and SMB submissions — not values sourced from official bank documentation. Banks set different cutoffs by account type, submission channel (online vs. in-branch), and customer relationship tier. If timing is critical, verify the deadline directly with your bank or submit well ahead of the estimated cutoff.
No. The calculator runs entirely in your browser. Your selected bank, transfer type, date, and time are used locally to compute the result and are never sent to any server. No account is required and no usage data is stored.
